Massage FAQs

How much time should I schedule?  The best rule of thumb is 30 minutes of massage time per 1-2 areas needing treatment.  For example--neck and shoulders should be quite loose with a ½ hour massage.  Back, legs, and feet, may require a full hour.  If you need shoulders, arms, hands, back, neck and shoulders, then we suggest breaking treatment up into 2 one hour massages or scheduling a one and a half hour massage.

Most of our working patients schedule half hour massages in conjunction with their chiropractic adjustment, and are able to be thoroughly relaxed and aligned within 45 minutes.  Massage time includes time for you to dress and undress.

How much does it cost?  Our fee for medical massage is $65-135 per hour.  Most insurance plans offer coverage for all or part of massages (also called muscle manipulation) that are required for the treatment of diagnosed medical conditions such as whiplash, sprains, strains, bursitis, tension headaches, fibromyalgia, etc. WE ACCEPT MOST INSURANCE PLANS AND WILL ALSO REMOVE PAIN AND SYMPTOMS DUE TO AUTO ACCIDENTS AND WORK INJURIES.

If you do not have a specific medical condition, we offer significant savings for non-medial, relaxation and wellness massages.

What should I wear?  There is no need to dress down to come in for a massage. We offer  moist warm towels & low grease massage cremes that soak into and moisturize the skin.  We have private restrooms with mirrors should your hair or make-up require retouching before a meeting or date.

During the massage any area not being working will remain fully covered.  Area's that need treatment will need to be uncovered.  For most people that mean removing as much clothing as comfortable on the upper torso and leaving a pair of shorts or underwear on the lower body for treatment.

Programs & Gifts: We offer gift certificates and massage membership programs on non-medical massages.  If you would like to learn more about our massages for wellness and relaxation please click here.  If your company is interested in employee appreciation events, health fairs, chair massage, or massage benefit programs we also have special pricing and packages available.

What if I have other questions not answered here? Please let us know if you have any additional questions about our massage services.  Who knows...maybe next time you check our Massage FAQs, your question will be featured here anonymously!
